MSU Spirit Groups - All Girl

All Girl

The MSU all-girl squad consist of 20-28 cheerleaders. Each member receives a $500 per semester scholarship for each team member. Each member is also provided camp clothes, camp fees, uniforms and travel expenses. Although the squad is a competitive team, Mississippi State’s Spirit Groups first obligation is to our university. The co-ed squad participates in football games, men’s home basketball games, tournaments, as well as fund-raising events, alumni appearances, and squad clinics.

The Mississippi State All-girl cheerleading squad scored big in its first appearance at UCA/UDA College Spirit camps in 2007. They went home with first place in sideline and second place in the cheer competitions. The team also took home the Leadership Award that was voted on by the teams that attended camp. In the 2008 UCA College National Competition, MSU’s All-girl team placed 9th. Natalie Buchanan, Sarah Hough, Whitely Rodenbaugh and Lauren Enstrom brought home 2nd place honors in the partner stunt competition.

The All Girl team continues to grow in skills, discipline, and dedication, and looks forward to attending the UCA/UDA College Spirit camp to be held at the University of Alabama in July 2014.
